Destin, Florida ~ Resort Interiors has made five new additions to its staff of more than 40., according to Frank Kovach, President of Resort Investments, Inc., parent company of Resort Interiors. Emilie Aubuchon has joined the staff as an interior designer. She has served as a designer for Schneider Wright, Inc., a corporate architecture and interior design firm in Alpharetta, Georgia, as manager of the Michigan Design Center in Troy, Michigan and as a designer at the Lansing Lighting Center in Lansing, Michigan. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Michigan State University in Spring Lake, Michigan. “My objective as a designer is to incorporate function, durability and aesthetics within a client’s budget. I am thrilled to be a part of a team that shares these goals. Together, we have the ability to exceed our client’s expectations,” says Aubuchon. Resort Interiors has hired Darlene Mays as an Interior Designer / Floor Designer. Mays has served as an interior designer and merchandiser since 1992 with companies such as Zelda’s Antiques and Interiors in Tulsa, Oklahoma and with other local interior design firms. Her work as a floor designer has earned national awards. “As a floor designer, my goal is to set up the vignette so that the client can visualize how the furniture will look in his or her home,” says Mays.
Fran Sherrell comes to the staff as an
interior designer. Sherrell most recently worked as an interior designer
with Expression in Honolulu, Hawaii. Sherrell, who has worked in interior
design and furniture sales for American-based companies in Berlin,
Germany, has a long history in interior design in the Atlanta area,
serving as Executive Director for the S.M. Hexter Company at the Atlanta
Decorative Arts Center. She graduated in Interior Design with minors in
Art History and Business Administration from Georgia State University. Hank Dawson has joined the Resort Interiors staff as Customer Service Manager. Dawson served previously as president of his own company, Coastal Drapery Services Corporation in Desitn, as general manager of Service Associates in Chattanooga, Tennesssee, and as Vice President of Washington Manufacturing in Nashville, Tennessee.
